Student Breakfast:
On Tuesday, Dec. 17 we will host our anuall student breakfast. We'll have lots of healthy options for everyone!
School Spirit Days:
Tuesday, Dec 17 - Student Breakfast & Wear a Favourite Hat Day
Wednesday, Dec 18 – Wear Red and White Day
Thursday, Dec 19 – Favorite and Holiday Sweater Day
Friday, Dec 20 – Bingo, Sock Hop, & Wear a Crazy, Fun, or Favourite Sock Day
Sock Hop:
On Friday, December 20, we will have a sock hop dance for students in all grades. In the days leading up to the dance, we will collect new and gently used warm socks that will be donated to local outreach centers.
Stratford Elementary Christmas Angels Program
Every year, families and community groups help support families within our school who need extra support during the holiday season – our “Christmas Angels” program allows any interested person(s), families or group(s) to offer donations (gift cards, cash) and/or to purchase Christmas ‘wish items’ for children and their families within our school community. Currently, we still have several families who would benefit from having additional support during the holiday season – please let our school counsellors: Olivia Milligan-MacDougall olmilliganmacdougall@edu.pe.ca or Dylan Taylor, djtaylor@edu.pe.ca) know if you would like to contribute in some way to this program. Our families benefit immensely from the kindness and generosity of our community each and every year!
Feed a Family
Families, please note that, in leu of our school’s contribution to the Feed a Family campaign, we would appreciate donated grocery store gift cards that we can give directly to families in our school community whom we know need some support this time of year.
Holiday Treats
As the holidays approach it is sometimes tempting to send treats into the school for your child’s class. Just a reminder that families should not send treats into the school. Staff will provide treats as the holidays get nearer.
