FROM OUTSIDE AGENCIES
Take Part in a Study on Gaming, Social Media, and Internet Use in Youth
There is a study by Université Laval and the PEI Department of Health and Wellness. The study, called “Virtual Realities: Navigating PEI Youth Online and Offline Technology Use,” looks at how gaming, gambling, and screen time may affect youth and their families.
We invite you to take part by completing a short online survey about your child’s screen time. The survey should take 15–20 minutes. If you choose to join, you can also allow your child (ages 12–17) to do their own survey. Both you and your child may each receive a $20 gift certificate for taking part.
Key Points:
- Your answers will be private and only used for research.
- Your feedback will help create programs for youth mental health and family support in PEI.
Please see the attached flyer for more details and the survey link. If you have questions, email Dr. Youssef Allami at youssef.allami@psy.ulaval.ca.
This project was approved by the Research Ethics Board of Université Laval: Approval number 2025-002 / 09-04-2025
Thank you for helping us with this important project.
