Completed order forms, and cash or cheques made out to Stratford Elementary Home and School will be collected on April 29, April 30 and May 1. Please do NOT send them back until these dates as volunteers will not be in the school to collect until then.

SCHOOL NEWS

Students Crossing Glen Stewart Drive

Parents are asked to assist our younger students when crossing Glen Stewart Drive in the morning and at the end of the school day. There is no crosswalk in this area and the road is quite busy so we would appreciate your help with this!

Pink Slip Update

So far this year we've given out 7432 "Caught You Caring" pink slips! Keep it up SES students!

Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair begins on Monday, May 5 and ends on the morning of Friday, May 9. It will be held in our school library for our staff and students. Each class will have the opportunity to visit the fair. Teachers may notify families when their child is to visit the Book Fair. Thanks to everyone for their support with this huge fundraiser for our school library.

Canada Day in May

O’Canada! Mark your calendars for Canada Day in May at Stratford Elementary, Thursday May 1st. That day, students and staff will be celebrating national pride and belonging, while participating in school-wide Canadian trivia, classroom activities, and art. Students are encouraged to dress in their Canada clothes or in Canadian colors (red and white).

Appropriate Dress

Parents, we are looking for your help. We are hoping that students will wear clothing that will cover their bellies as well as all of their undergarments. For example, simply wearing a sports bra would require another layer of clothing. Shorts should fit enough to cover any undergarments while participating in a wide variety of school life. We look forward to your cooperation with this.

 Thanks for your help!

The Young Millionaires Program

The Young Millionaires Program is back for its 33rd year of Youth Entrepreneurship! Our program offers youth ages 8-16 the opportunity to discover and develop new essential skills through the exploration of Entrepreneurship. YMP youth know the power of Innovation and Creativity,  how to develop their ideas and set achievable goals, how to budget and how to be more effective and patient communicators in our workshops, and while attending group events and activities from June -September.   We do this by offering micro grants between $150-200 to eligible youth to begin their businesses ( please see www.youngmillionairesprogram.ca for more information ).

Our 2025 registrations will be open May1st-June 5th, and any individuals who wish to have a YMP representative in to deliver a short and positive informational presentation to your classrooms may reach out to ymp@centralpei.ca to schedule a time and date.
